Cordelia Hanna-Cheruiyot, MPH, CHES, ICCE, CLE, CBA is a Certified Childbirth Educator, Certified Birth Assistant, Midwife Assistant, Certified Lactation Educator, and Certified Health Education Specialist with a Masters in Public Health in Health Education and Promotion/Maternal-Child Health and over 20 years experience educating and supporting expectant parents to make informed choices in childbirth and to have safe, satisfying and empowered births.

 

Cordelia is the founder and Executive Director of The Association for Wholistic Maternal and Newborn Health (AWMNH) a non-profit organization located in Los Angeles, California. The Association of Wholistic Maternal and Newborn Health focuses on the intersection of public health and midwifery to address healthcare disparities and to engender a more equitable maternity care system for all women and infants.

 

Cordelia is also a Course Leader and Curriculum Developer and has developed and leads several training programs for health and social service providers.

 

Cordelia is also available for media consulting for screenwriters and directors and presentations on Television, Internet, and Radio on issues pertaining to childbirth, maternal-infant health disparities, midwifery, doula support, and more.
